Privacy Policy

asarOS is a personal life operating system built to keep your data in your hands. We operate at asaros.app.

Account data (if you sign up): We store your name, email address, hashed password, and subscription plan in our authentication database. This is the minimum needed to provide login and billing.

Payment data: Payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not store your card or bank details on our servers. We only store a payment reference ID and subscription status.

Your personal content: Tasks, goals, habits, diary entries, notes, finance records, contacts, health data, and all other content you create in asarOS is stored either (a) in your browser's local storage (IndexedDB) when in guest/local mode, or (b) in your own Google Drive or Dropbox account when you enable cloud sync. We do not receive, process, or store this content.

Usage analytics: We collect minimal, anonymised usage data (page views, feature interaction counts) to understand how the product is used. This data contains no personally identifiable information and is not sold to third parties.

We use account data solely to:

• Authenticate you when you log in
• Manage your subscription and process billing
• Send transactional emails (password resets, receipts)
• Respond to support requests you initiate

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties. Ever.

asarOS integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Google Drive — optional cloud storage. Your data goes directly to your Google account. We access it only with your explicit OAuth permission.
• Dropbox / OneDrive — same as above, if you choose these providers.
• Razorpay — payment processing for Pro/Team subscriptions.
• Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, and edge computing for the asarOS backend worker.
• Google AdSense — we may display interest-based advertisements from Google on some pages. Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our site or other sites. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

We use the following cookies:

• Authentication cookies — to keep you logged in across sessions.
• Preference cookies — to remember your theme and layout settings.
• Analytics cookies — anonymised, first-party usage tracking.
• Advertising cookies — set by Google AdSense to deliver relevant ads. These are only active on pages where ads are shown.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies will prevent login from working.

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your name, email, and hashed password within 30 days. Payment records are retained for 7 years as required by financial regulations.

Local and cloud content data (your personal files in Drive/Dropbox) is entirely under your control — delete it there directly.

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your account data at any time. You can:

• Export your data from the Backup page inside asarOS
• Delete your account from the Profile page
• Email privacy@asaros.app for any other data requests

asarOS is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of asarOS after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
